Magnificent Mont Tremblant

Last month I took some time off to travel to Canada for my cousins wedding. The wedding was indeed beautiful and it was wonderful to meet my family after a long time. This was the perfect holiday to bond and relax with my family.

I’ve always been intrigued by the countryside town so my family decided to take me for a road trip to Mont Tremblant which was a good idea. It was exciting as this was my second countryside holiday after Stonehenge. The drive wasn’t long from Toronto. We reached there about early afternoon and headed out immediately to the main town. We loved strolling around the city with the lush greenery and peaceful surroundings.

This was the most stunning, naturally beautiful countryside village that was surrounded by laurentian mountains, multicoloured buildings and the sweet fragrance of the white blooms.

There was lots of outdoor activities to choose but we wanted to do the most exciting ones, so the Luge and the Gondola Ride was the top most on the list for all of us. The first activity was the panoramic gondola ride which included a back and forth ride to the summit of Mont Tremblant. The view from above was very scenic and breath-taking. Also the second activity “Luge” was a three wheel cart ride controlled by gravity. The ride was super fun as it involved a lot of twists and turns while dodging obstacles down the hill.

We also indulged in the local cuisines and touristy shopping. After spending time in Mont Tremblant this summer I would definitely love to see this beautiful village in the winter and fancy their activities like skiing.

It was a warm sunny day, so i  decided to be comfortable with an airy tropical jumpsuit and wear an open toe comfy sandal so that i could easily walk on the cobbled streets of Tremblant.

Throwback to the Birthday OOTD!

Happy birthday to me!

I Had such a wonderful Sunday afternoon and celebrating my birthday weekend. The gifts, the food, the ocean views & the cocktails were divine. This birthday was quite relaxed with a few friends and my husband so, I thought I should share the outfit, I wore over the birthday weekend.

Since birthdays are special to me, I decided to wear a white asymmetrical bodycon dress which has been in my closet for quite a while and it was the perfect weekend to wear it. I also teamed up two bracelets as a cross over to compliment my bold ring, a glittery clutch and glittery sandals denotes an eddy and chic look to the dress.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post. Have a great week everyone!

2016 Spring trends!

Hi everyone, speaking about the warmer weather approaching let
us experiment with the latest spring summer trends. I absolutely love this time of the year for fashion, especially the high street brands.

Here is a two looks from the spring trends, i have experimented with the red off shoulder top has a layered net detailing on the top, looks sultry for the spring also, the colorful vertical striped top, has a pattern detail giving a fun vibe.

So, the first trend I talk about is the ready to wear lingerie which has been spotted in most designer labels internationally. This trend from the 90’s is back again on the SS -16 Runway, this trend has a sexiness and with a trace of skin show. The innerwear dress looks sleeker with fabrics in silk, lace and satin. The model from the Givenchy show is wearing lace detailing around the neck and the border of the skirt which more so signifies a feminine and romantic touch to the outfit, which I adore.

One could wear the slip dress in the day or night either with a jacket, knitted sweater or t shirt underneath taking you from a daytime lunch look to a dinner event. So you ladies should try out this to be more daring.

·         Stripes
The 2nd trend was the in thing in spring 2013 and this time its back again with a twist, but more sporty inspiration driven which is illustrated from Mills, Tommy Hilfiger, D&G brands on the runway. Stripes are a very easy trend which can be worn broken or combined together- such as just the bottoms or as top or a dress. The colour blocking plays an important facet in this trend of 2016 which demonstrates more creative and fun vibe.

·         Off Shoulder
The last trend is  popular and effortless, has lingered in the mass market and also the luxury market for a  few years now. Spotted on the runway of SS-16 yet again which one can never go wrong with. You lovely ladies of all shapes, sizes and age don’t need to hesitate with this trend, because the weight never shows on the shoulders, think about it! This is also feminine, simplistic and sophisticated. One should choose the right off shoulder piece  style/cut for their own body type.

I hope you all have a great weekend & liked this post!

Women while shopping....?

Fashion shopping is an act of relaxation, joy, excitement and creativity either in a public space or online. For some it's a self expression of their personality and for some it's just a sake of necessity.

Many women these days keep in mind major factors like peers, trends, colours, practicality, celebrity inspired looks but, the most important amongst these are how flattering it should look on oneself. Almost most of us women have a habit of complaining and cribbing about our bodies either being larger, skinny, chubby arms or thighs. But, one the question we all women should keep in mind is what’s the best asset of our body? It could be our smooth shiny legs, our long neck, or our curves!

And once we women know what we love about ourselves and are aware of our DNA of style, we could accordingly shop to accentuate that asset. This would make us women feel confident and believe in our personality through our sense of style.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and stay true to who you are when you go shopping!

Make that body rock with a Body Chain!

Hey everyone, I'm sorry I've had no time I've been so held up during the last few months with my wedding and then shifting to another part of the world. It had been crazy! But, also  extremely ecstatic. So, today on such a pleasant morning in Cayman islands I sat down and made a promise to be persistent with my blog.

I had this lovely body chain from my trousseau collection which i had purchased last year in the month of June, though this body chain accessory has been a leading trend from last year still in my opinion is timeless and actually looks sophisticated if its styled right.

Accessories like the body chain can spice up an ensemble creating a statement among the crowd and making heads turn. This body chain accessory is a trendy draped three layered gold tone finish chain & meticulously handcrafted stone embellishment which can elegantly frame over the shoulder, neck and waist.

This particular body chain comes across slightly ethnic in my opinion yet glamorous. The body chain can be worn over a plain maxi dress, strapless evening dress, jumpsuit, palazzo pants and Sarees! It just gives a very fun vibe in a more suttle way and transforming your outfit from a simple day outfit to dressy night.

Here are 4 different ways i have styled the body chain just with a few extra items needed.

*Bobby pins

*safety pins

             1.   As a hair band, with a few bobby pins

 2.   Framed across the shoulder over a plain tank top

 3.  As a necklace

4. As a waist belt, with a safety pin attached from inside of the pants

I hope you enjoyed this post of the outfit paired with the body chain and hope you guys try it out soon in your own creative way.
