Jewel it Up!!

''Costume jewellery is not made to give a woman an aura of wealth but to make them beautiful’’ – Coco Chanel.

After all the madness of Diwali has been put to rest, why not continue and still keep it stylish for all the wedding festivities coming up!!  Ever since my travel to the UK, I have developed a fetish for jewellery because I remember being mesmerised at the transformation of my friends after they added an accessory or two to their attire , jewellery can truly accentuate  one’s beauty.  Especially costume jewellery that is contemporary, be it a wedding or a dinner party!

If your mantra is keeping it simple the way I like to, accessories are the best way to pep up your outfit.  The look I have portrayed in this video focuses on costume jewellery. The bold stone earrings in different tones with a tinge of gold can add charm and glamour to a neutral tone dress.  Hand cuff bracelets and hand chain styles are versatile for traditional and modern women, adding a glamorous look.

Two tone coloured stone rings, add simplicity and elegance to this neutral look. The rings compliment the outfit making it look gorgeous.  I would say ‘’let the accessories do the talking, by just mixing and matching’’ so go buy em now!!!

Sunday brunch in Urban style!

Sunday experiences are always relaxed and everyone’s favourite time of the week to catch up with friends and  family. Usually brunches are a common outing preferred by Bangalorieans and why not add an element of vogue into your ensemble with the perfect sunny weather.

This look has been chosen specifically for lean girls . Just like her,

A perfect sheer pink maxi dress creates a pretty, flirty and ultra feminine look for an ideal                            brunch.

The outfit is highlighted with a prism inspired gold statement piece which also compliments this flowy dress.

Accessories a simple rose gold ring and a simple multi stoned earrings adds  a chic look.

A pair of soft pink bow sandals for a sunny Sunday, gives a sense of femininity to the apparel.

A  clutch is a must have! The off gold compliments the brunch outfit.

This look has been sponsored by Urban culture which has been recently one of my favorite store in Bangalore ( India). The store is at an ideal location and one can easily pick up a fully coordinated attire  for a last minute change in plans or even for an event planned weeks ago. I was more than thrilled because the store is appropriate for fast fashion, it creates a very youthful and energetic vibe during the shopping experience which would fit into anyone a reasonable budget. With a diverse choice of bright hues and elegant silhouettes for women, I would totally recommend this place.

Easy trick to make your denim look NEW & COOL!!

Yes another post about denims, simply because everybody owns a pair. To make your indigo denims look crisp and good as new, follow this easy and simple trick.
Things needed:
-clip hanger
-clothes peg
- water spray bottle
-a pair of denims

Step 1 -look of the Diesel Shioner denim

Step 2 - Gather a bunch of denim fabric in horizontal lines

Step 3 - Use one clothes peg to clip the bunch of denim of the left side of the fly
Repeat this on the right side as well  under the pockets.

For example in this denim would require at the bottom of the denim on both the sides

Step 4 -then spray water using the water spray bottle in all the directions where the clothes peg has been clipped

Step 5 - Leave the damp denims overnight

Step 6-The final look of the denim

Recommendation this trick would be best on a plain lighter denim (less wash)

How to wear your jeans in 3 different ways

Many of us have a wardrobe full of denims from skinny to straight cuts but we never know how we can make these jeans look interesting with our shoes. Skinny and straight jeans continue to be the wardrobe staple of many, so I decided to post on tips for jeans which gives a preppy, chic and modern look simply from your wardrobe.

Look 1 & 2 ) Give it a roll

To showoff your heels like these brown ones, two style tips will work well to give an overall modern look and feel for this pair of ultra soft skinny jeans.

  •  Rolling them up at the bottom upwards to about half and another half inch twice (image 2)
  •  Making a fold upwards of about two inches at the ends and then adding half inch
fold upwards gives an interesting and flattering look (image 3)

Look 3) Cuffed with a twist

To show off your loafers & sandals, this is a preppy styling tip which could be tried with cotton trousers as well for a lovely summer evening with friends. The fresh blue wash shades highlight the twist of the cuff even more.

  • Roll the jeans in an upward direction towards your knees to about two inches (image 2)
  • Flip the outer sides of the jeans half cross directional on both the sides neatly (image 3)

Retro styled - Spring/Summer trend

This trend is back again for the spring/summer 2014 and yes this fashion trend has repeated itself over a few summers now. The seasonal inspired colour tones are pastels/ Romantic florals, fresh folks and retro florals. This ultra soft feminine pattern may be worn which catches anyone attention be it, dresses, tops, trousers, skirts. The retro florals  is inspired by 1960s and 70s, the Bold florals are  fresh, fun and brings out a retro and vintage feel. Also focusing on a simple, hand drawn bloom in medium scales. This print has been dominating the fashion world and will never fade. So, ladies just pull out your favourite mothers/grandmothers floral ensemble, without much to spend on. And if you ladies want to look chic and unique, choose retro florals.

Stack of bracelets inspired by the florals with a modern day twist, picked this one from Westside  (India)

A flowly viscose tube top purchased a while ago from A&S INC boutique (India). This is a versatile piece and can be worn as a high waisted skirt.

Bow peep toe beige durable flat sole, picked these from commercial Street ( India) and also compliments the bag.

Simple feather and stone light beige neckpiece which is subtle and  is a  stylish piece for an everyday causal Aldo (India)
Beige and black cute briefcase sling bag gives a unique and modern vintage feel, purchased this one from A&S INC boutique (India)

Straight cut cotton trousers, essential for the summers which can keep anyone cool and sweat free from the heat, Purchased these from Vero Moda (India)
The dos and don’t on how to wear Vintage and Retro

1. Don’t wear vintage florals from head to toe

2.Your mothers( oversized floral clothes ) could be altered  which could give a more tight fit

3.Mix the modern pieces with the old pieces

4.Emphasize on the styling and accessorizing to give a more feminine look

Hope this look and trend inspires you lovely women!!!

Feast for lovers and Friends - Valentines day

So ladies Valentine’s day is approaching and I am sure all you lovely ladies shall have something special planned out. But do not forget to spend a few minutes thinking about your perfect ensemble. This is the perfect month for excuses by just pulling out your most danity, flirty attires. Just remember to add a dash of red to your pieces, as this colour represents love, seduction and power so, make sure you look your absolute '' Best'' for  your partner or even for you single ladies  who want to have a fun time at a brunch with your lovely girlfriends.

My look for this day keeping it cute yet stylish

This A-lined regular fit causal red dress this was purchased some time ago which is one of my favourites from Body central. This dress suits the mood for a romantic lunch brunch or a movie outing.

Since the dress is simple and causal I have added a neutral brown chained belt that will whittle the waist adding definition to the ruffle front neckline. Picked this one out at the forever new 70% sale (India)

The cute multi coloured rose hairband is versatile and may be used as a headband. I purchased this from a fancy costume Store (UK)

To compliment the accessories a beige cut out leather wallet giving an eddy touch to this outfit. I picked       this one from River Island (UK)

The Peyton Nude Pumps are a must have for all you Ladies, it’s the most natural colour which can compliment almost every attire, grabbed these from Avirate (India)

The jewellery is adding some spice to this cute valentine’s day outfit bringing elegance a gold              interlock bracelet from Guess (India) and a simple Rose Gold Ring from Forever 21 (India)

So I am all set for this day, hopefully you seek some inspiration. Also remember spend V- day with  people who are Genuine, caring and fun-loving. Have fun ladies!
